Established in 1996, Biggar Youth Project is a SCIO based in Biggar, South Lanarkshire. We take a modern approach to youth work, focusing on promoting well-being and supporting mental health through pastoral care and a listening ear, with signposting to additional resources when needed.
We work with young people aged 11–18, helping them navigate key life stages such as transitioning to high school, preparing for exams, and entering the workplace. We also provide guidance and signposting on a wide range of issues, including loneliness and isolation, the cost of living crisis, family challenges, gender identity, and sexuality.
Our catchment area roughly aligns with Biggar High School, though our activities often draw young people from across Clydesdale and neighbouring areas in Tweeddale.
